Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga

"Hatha" is a Sanskrit word that means "Force". We have various types of energy stored in our bodies. With Hatha Yoga, you will get to know about the mechanism of the body, then let you use the energy stored in your body in a specific atmosphere and in a specific direction. Hatha Yoga includes some asanas that will need to be performed in the right way.

This style of yoga prepares the body for further yoga styles. It helps you in bringing the balance between Pingala Nadi (corresponds to the left side of the brain and the right side of the body) and Ida Nadi (corresponds to the right side of the brain and the left side of the body).

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga

β€œAshta” and β€œAnga" are two Sanskrit words, together form "Ashtanga". "Ashta" means "Eight" and "Anga" means "Limbs". Combining all these forms the meaning "The eight limbs of yoga".

These eight limbs are the sign of the different branches of the philosophy of the yoga sutras. These yoga sutras form the foundation of the Ashtanga style of Yoga. It improvises balance, focus and coordination. The Eight Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga plays an important role in bringing unity in body, mind and spirit. These eight limbs are -

  • 1. Yama [Moral Codes]
  • 2. Niyama [Disciplines]
